All of our team

I’m a survivor of childhood trauma that had a massive impact on my life and young adult years, and I’ve fought hard to build a healthier, happier life. During my first year of college, I realized the help I was receiving in therapy was the kind of help I wanted to give others. Everyone deserves to heal, to learn, and to grow, and I want to be the person who helps you on that journey.

I’m especially fond of kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. To me, it shows that we can heal from what damages us, and that the result may be even more beautiful than before. My style is client-driven and laid back: whatever you need to talk about and explore that day is what we cover, in your own time and in a way that works for you.

Your first session

Our first session focuses on your history, what brings you to therapy, and your current symptoms and goals. We’ll cover confidentiality, too, since that helps people feel safer. I’ll explain my style and the approaches I use, and reinforce that whatever works for you is the way we’ll go. In the sessions that follow, we’ll dig into current stressors while building coping skills and awareness.

Who I work best with

I love working with people who have experienced trauma and are ready to heal from its impact, especially childhood trauma and religious trauma. I also specialize in neurodivergence (ADHD, autism, and more) and relationship issues, and I work with teens, adults, elders, and couples. I’m LGBTQIA+ affirming and welcome BIPOC clients.

Outside the office

I’m a huge nerd: a lover of books, movies, video games, and anime of most genres, and I make Renaissance festivals a priority every year. I also have ADHD, so I tend to share fun facts as I learn them, especially when we need a moment to decompress and laugh in the middle of hard work.
