I started in medical social work, which I still do. I wanted tangible ways to help people beyond the 10–15 minute conversations that happen during a loved one’s hospitalization, moments that are life-altering in so many ways. I wanted to walk with people through big changes and transitions and offer tools and support they couldn’t get in a quick conversation. I began seeing clients at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, and holding space with people through such an uncertain time became a series of sacred moments that still shape me today.

I’m solution-focused, but I also hold space. I can be humorous and laid-back, and direct when it helps. I like to explore the meaning we give to events and words, and how that shapes the way we see what’s happening and how to move forward.

Your first session

I like to spend the first few sessions getting to know you and your vibe. In our first session, we’ll work through a lot of the “clinical meat and potatoes” and map out your goals and what you want from our time together.

Who I work best with

I thrive working with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and perfectionism. I also work with burnout, mood and emotional dysregulation, grief, and coping with life-changing diagnoses, including helping people navigate the medical system and advocate for themselves. I especially enjoy supporting BIPOC clients, first- and second-generation children of immigrants, healthcare workers, and caregivers.

Outside the office

I loved fostering dogs until my “foster fail,” Lucy, a Havanese who chose me as her person on day one. She’s my constant Velcro dog, and I still support Havaheart Rescue here in Springfield. My office has an outrageous plant collection (the lighting there is top notch, iykyk), and I’m always happy to share a cutting or two. I’m also an avid “granny crafter” who loves knitting, beadwork, and fall craft fairs with Lucy. And I love connecting people with others and organizations that can meet a need. I’m a social worker at heart!
